I have been meaning to practice post a couple of times but… alas I didn’t. However, now it is getting closer “step by step, inch by inch”.

Dotty, Jim, and I headed out towards Eastport on Friday afternoon. We stopped for the night in Jay, NY to break up the trip. Jim had premade bread, and Manhattan Clam chowder. and then we had cleaned out the fridge and made a salad.
Saturday dawned early as we headed out around 5ish to catch the 6:30 ferry across Lake Champlain.

The trip to Eastport was uneventful although we did stop a few times so Dotty could take pictures with Flat Jesus for her sister Deb. Flat Jesus is like Flat Stanley. We made sure to get a picture of him in Bethlehem, NH.

Eastport was full of sunshine when we arrived and our friends JD and Pam made us dinner. Pam took a picture of our house with the sunset. The sun made the clouds look like cotton candy in the sky.

JD made a beef stew with mashed potatoes and green peas. Pam created a lovely blueberry pie.

Home to bed. It had been a long day, and well Georgia was losing badly to Alabama in the first half. Who knew Georgia would come back in the 2nd half and almost win. It might have been worth staying up to watch, but we were oh so tired.
The sunrise this Sunday morning was glorious. Jim took a time lapse video. The fog rolled in, but watch the sun as it created a Maltese Cross, Daddy’s favorite flower.
Today we will have breakfast at WaCo and continue to get ready for our trip… tomorrow we will drive to Bangor for our early flight to JFK. Catch you on the flipside, literally!
