The grass is green, the rain comes and goes, the flowers are beautiful! This post will mostly be pictures of all the flowers we have taken in the Russell area, to include KeriKeri, Paihia, Waitangi Treaty Grounds, Cape Reinga and in between. I have not yet posted about the Hole in the Rock tour/Cape Reinga (October 7-your future) or Waitangi Treaty Grounds (October 6th-your near distant past and our 2 days ago past.) I will get to those, but felt the flora-we haven’t seen much fauna, except for weka, tui, sheep (lots), and cows. Oh and even thought there are fences around the sheep and cows…they are not electrified and you might be driving or landing your airplane on a grassy knoll that serves as the runway and whoop! there they are on the outside of the fence… but I digress and this post is about a picture tour of flowers around the Bay of Islands area!
I do not know all the names of the trees or flowers. I did use Plantnet to identify some of them, but more than anything, I like looking and smelling them. My allergies however do not!🤣
I have footnoted a couple of the trees for your reading pleasure.. actually i just posted a link for you to read about the trees!
The first 3 pictures were taken outside the house at the Waitangi Treaty Grounds house.

Very colorful! You picked a good time of the year to visit.
