Finishing up July 1. We met the group for Tea at Browns Brasserie and Bar. I nipped down to the bathroom to try and clean up the dirt off my knee. Since Covid, so many establishments have, bless their hearts, gone to hand dryers and single sheet toilet paper. So I did what I could with the resources available. I must say, my knee looked a little worse for wear, but I quickly forgot about it once the food, prosecco, and aspirin (Thanks, Jim!) arrived.

I don’t know what I enjoyed most, the savory or the sweet. From shredded mature cheddar and chutney to the beef and cress, the little seafood rolls.. Then there was Victoria sponge, scones and clotted cream, carrot cake, lemon meringues, and pots of chocolate pudding with hunks of chocolate cake. I did not drink any tea, but there was plenty around!
Walking back from tea, Wendy regaled us with much history and of the beautiful buildings. I was not as diligent as I was earlier in the day, go figure, and just took pictures of everything. I won’t bore you here with more of the buildings, but I will be hosting a slide show when we get back ðĪŠ ðĪĢ ð
Jim and I decided to rest before dinner. Good thing he set his alarm. We set off to Piper’s Rest, where they had no record of our appointed time, but graciously made room for us inside and out! I grabbed quick shots, as I am wont to do of our group’s meals.

On the way home, Caitlin and I stopped to do the touristy thing and get our picture made.
Next up… St. Andrews
