Can’t stop this feeling!!!!

πŸ“‡ THE STORY

I have been dying to go and see the Trolls at The Wild Center all Summer. I trolled so many Facebook posts on friends visiting The Wild Center to visit Thomas Dambo’s Trolls since the exhibit opened in June. Time was quickly running out… and Jim did not really care about going. That is until I read him about the exhibit and the creator. Now we are planning trips to include seeing the permanent trolls available to visit on our routes.

Of course I waited until the last possible moment to prepurchase tickets to visit. The early morning slot was all sold out! πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ I went ahead and purchased the afternoon slot. We weren’t just going to Tupper for the Trolls, this was also the 12th anniversary weekend for Ausable Brewing Company… So many things to do and now we are starting late… To say I was a bit annoyed with myself and dissapointed we were going to be rushing was an understatement.

We woke up Saturday morning, took our time, and took a chance that we could get into park early. There was a line, not a long line, but a line trying to get into the park around 11 or so when we made it to the park. There was a young lady directing cars and when we pulled up and I told her I had tickets, but they were for the afternoon slot, she scanned my tickets and sent us to park! Whoohoo, we were in!

I know we should have spent more time reading the signs, visiting the Trolls, and really being in the moment, after all that is what they are there for. These Trolls have come to earth to help us take back our land and reinvest in nature. If you are on Facebook, look up Angela Robinson, from Raleigh, NC~”Spiritually minded. Troll obsessessed.” Talk about waxing poetic about the Trolls, she does just that. I can’t copy all her words, I want to go back and spend time with each one, but I haven’t and now time has run out as we leave next week for our cruise.

We were lucky enough to be able to meet Patrick Sapling. I wasn’t able to go hear Thomas Dambo speak on Thursday night, Bingo you know! but being there for the new Troll, Patrick was a real treat we didn’t even know we were going to get to see!

Upon entering the park, Ronja Redeye meets you at the Visitor’s Center. Although I am not sharing the many selfies I made Jim take with me, we did start with her. I am including the pictures of the Trolls, their stories and some of the fun going on. There are many mazes that have been built at the park. Normally you can “pay/rent” a ball to play, but for our visit, we were given a ball. I will not bore you with all the pictures of all the mazes, just know they added to much fun.

We were so glad we took a chance to get into the park early. I wish I had taken a picture of the lines of cars waiting to get into the park at 1 when we left. Not only was the line down the road, it was backed up all the way to Route 3. Jim would have been very grumpy, as it was, we were able to take the back way to Keeseville and enjoy the day and being together, which I think is what being present is all about!
